War of the Week: The Toledo War

Both militias were mobilized and sent to positions on opposite sides of the Maumee River near Toledo, but there was little interaction between the two sides besides mutual taunting.

Like so many of the gridiron battles that continue to rage today, a game isn't decide on one play, but a series of plays. Poor officiating may have taken Michigan officially out of the campaign for the Toledo Strip, but in retrospect, it's obvious who won the War.

Can You Imagine What Would Happen to US Entertainers…

…if the UK demanded reciprocity? For this?

To wit:

Pop star Lily Allen has had her US work visa cancelled after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport.

She was held at the airport for five hours in connection with an arrest for an alleged assault in London in June.



The arrest arose from an incident outside a London nightclub in March and resulted in a caution for common assault.
